No Activity List

What are “Activities”?

  • Assemblies
  • Dances
  • Sports
  • Extra Curricular

What determines who is on the No Activity List?

  • 2 “u’s” (unsatisfactory) on previous grading period
  • A suspension for weapons, drug and alcohol (student will be on the “no activity” list for 30 days and this will include the days they are suspended)

Tardies

  • 4/5 tardies per teacher in grading period = 10 minute Lunch Detention
  • 6-7 tardies = 20 minute After School Detention (Tuesday or Thursday)
  • 8 or more tardies = In-house Suspension on Wednesday or Saturday school

Dress Code

  1. Leggings/tights must be worn with a tunic, dress, skirt or shorts.
  2. Tops must provide adequate coverage. The midriff must be covered.  See through, low-cut or tops that leave bra straps visible are not permitted.  Unduly revealing clothes or clothes that reveal undergarments are not allowed.  Shorts/skirts must be no shorter than the student’s fingertips when the student’s hands are extended naturally at their side.
  3. Sandals or shoes must be worn at all times
  4. Any staff member may request or remind a student to remove a hat when inside a school building.  Failure to respectfully comply will result in hat being confiscated.
  5. No pajamas are permitted.
  6. Gang related tattoos must be covered at all times.
  7. Studded wrist bands, chains, or any other items that might be used as a weapon are not allowed.
  8. Clothing, jewelry, emblems, badges, accessories, or other items that are demeaning to others or that promote or depict tobacco, drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, alcohol, hate, violence, profanity, nudity, or sexual references may not be worn or displayed.  Examples may include but not be limited to:
    • Playboy bunnies
    • Confederate flags
    • Marijuana leaves
    • Breweries/Wineries, etc.
  9. Clothing, jewelry, emblems, badges, accessories, or other items or actions that are evidence of membership, affiliation, or promotion of any gang or gang activity may not be worn or displayed.  Examples of these include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Red or blue bandanas, hats/caps, shoe laces, cotton belts
  • Cotton belts not tucked into belt loops
  • Hair nets
  • Belt buckles, hats/caps, or athletic clothing with “N”, “S”, “13”, “14”, Roman Numerals XIII or XIV or X3 or X4
  • No clothing with the "South Pole" or "NorCal" logo visible.
  • Any gang related incident may lead to more dress restrictions.
     

Codigo de Vestuario

  1. Las mallas no puede ser llevada sin una tunica, vestido, falda o shortes.
  2. La ropa debe cubrir lo suficiente para ocultar prendas interiores.  El diafragma debe estar cubierto.  Las prendas transparentes, las blusas de tirantes o blusas que van bajo los hombros o que descubren el busto están prohibidos.  Las shortes/faldas no deben ser más corto que las puntas de los dedos del estudiante cuando las manos del estudiante son extendidas naturalmente en su lado.
  3. Deben llevar siempre puestos sandalias o zapatos.
  4. Cualquier empleado puede solicitar o recordarle a un estudiante que se quite la gorra cuando este dentro de un edificio de la escuela.  Si no obedecen respetuosamente tendremos que confiscarle la gorra/boina o semejante.
  5. Ningúna pijama es permitido.
  6. Los tatuajes de pandillas deben ser cubiertos siempre.
  7. Las muñequeras, cadenas, o cualquier otros artículos que quizás sean utilizados como un arma ni se permite.
  8. La ropa, joyas, símbolos, insignias, accesorios, u otros artículos que degradan a otros o que promueven o representan tabaco, drogas, parafernalia de droga, las armas, el alcohol, el odio, la violencia, lo profano, la desnudez, o las referencias sexuales no se pueden llevar or demostrarse.  Por ejemplos esto puede incluir los siguientes pero no son los únicos:
  • Conejitos de Play Boy
  • Banderas Confederadas
  • Hojas de Marihuana
  • Cervecerías/Lugares, etc.
  1. La ropa, joyas, símbolos, insignias, accesorios, u otros artículos o acciones que son evidencia de asociación, de afiliación, o promoción de cualquier pandilla o actividad de pandilla no pueden llevarse o mostrarse.  Algunos ejemplos de éstos incluyen los siguientes, pero no son solamente estos:
  • Los pañuelos, gorras/boinas, cordones, cinturones de algodón rojos o azules
  • Los cinturones de algodón no deben tener nudos por encima
  • Redes de pelo
  • Las hebillas de cinturón, las gorras/boinas, o la ropa atlética con “N”, “S”, “13”, “14”, los números romanos XIII o XIV o X3 or X4
  • No puede llevar ropa con los logos de "South Pole" o "NorCal."
  • Cualquier incidente de pandilla puede llevar a más restricciones de vestuario.

 

Eighth Grade Promotion Activities

There are three promotion activities: 

Promotion Ceremony

            Promotion Party

            8th Grade Field Trip

In order to walk at graduation and to attend the party the following must happen:

    1.  No "F" grade on FINAL grade report of second semester.

    2.  Attend 90% of the days in second semester.

If you are absent, the absences must be cleared through the office with a parent note or phone call.  Unexcused absences will count against you for the required 90% attendance.

In addition to the above criteria, you will not be permitted to attend any of the promotion activities if:

    1.  You have earned 2 or more "U's" on the second semester report card.

    2.  You are on the 30 day "No Activity List".
